Cry Now Free Video Library
These portrait images document me inside my second-floor bedroom on Troost Ave in Kansas City, MO, in which I operated the Cry Now Video Library from 2016-2018. You might picture a ‘little free library’, on a not-so-little scale. Comprised of 2000+ VHS tapes, 9 televisions, and 8 VCRs, Cry Now was an oversized time capsule of moving images from the late 80’s to early 2000’s. Videotape and VCR rentals were available at no charge, with no membership required.
You can learn more about the library and how it all began in this Pitch Article by Annie Raab.
