The Alternative Art School Fair
The Alternative Art School Fair, hosted by Pioneer Works in 2016, presented an introduction to alternative art schools from around the US and the world. The organizers behind the fair recognized the act of school building as an effort to create institutional structures that are more responsive to cultural evolution. Along with Erin Zona and Asa Wilder, I participated in this event representing the Zz School for Print Media.
During the fair, Zz School founder Erin Zona and I presented on a panel entitled “Hybrid Practice”. This panel, which was moderated by Archeworks, with School for Poetic Computation, and Southland Institute, addressed the following question: How are new combinations of traditionally distinct disciplines coming together in alternative arts education?
